So, I'm about to educate everyone about Red Panda. Image result for red panda

Nope, not giant panda but Red Panda.

They are the most underrated, fluffiest and yet endangered animals to exist to this date. I’m surprised that something that is fluffy is endangered.

To be honest, I’m surprised animals, in general, are still decreasing in a frightening amount in this generation. This generation! This generation that is known to be enthusiastic from the most mundane things to the most humanity inducing topics, statements, morals, beliefs, hopes and so many more. Yet! We still fail to save these beautiful blessings from both gods and Mother Nature. Quite sad to be frank. Anyway back to our star of the day and the love of my wild heart.

The Red Panda or scientifically known as (for all the bio-enthusiast) Ailurus Fulgens. Were known to be the first species to be called as “panda” 50 years before they discover giant pandas. now here’s where the plot twists. Red pandas have no genetic correlation to the giant panda.

The classifications of both species have changed as scientists have studied them. But now giant pandas are placed in the bear family and red pandas are in their own family which is more closely related to raccoons, coatis, and kinkajous. You can see the similarities of raccoons and red pandas from the way they eat and drink(they dip their paws when they want to drink ), their tear marks and especially the fluffiness they have evolved with. The similarities with panda are also uncanny. They have a false thumb to eat (surprise surprise) bamboos just like pandas. But they don’t just eat full of vegan foods, they have their guilty pleasures too. They are more tiny facts like the way they sound (they make like this tweeting sound ad it's so cute) and how small they are and how baby red pandas are taken care of, all could be read from here, here and here. And this is the animal I have decided to embrace today.
